Products and materials that will be developed

• A literature review report that analyses and synthesises all existing academic, policy and practice based literature on education and sport initiatives to address racism, intercultural learning and social inclusion
• Develop/deliver a five day in-service training course for teachers (25): The content will combine racism awareness, intercultural theory and competence, and conflict resolution strategies Practical strategies proposed will draw on sports values, philosophy, principles and practical operations to explore issues of racism, inter culturalism and social cohesion
• A course handbook with : key policy documents, handouts, case studies, lesson plans, research data and teaching materials
• A course evaluation report based on participant feedback
• A teacher training policy report/publication with recommendations for future in-service provision in this area
• Development/delivery of a participatory sports module for schools involving sports clubs, schools and voluntary organisations: SK Vard, Arsenal FC (and one Danish club yet to be confirmed) will work with 30 young people each, drawn from targeted local schools and involve up to 20 parent/community participants each on a two week awareness programme. Representatives from the schools programme will take part in the conference planned for the end of the project
• A schools programme evaluation report based on participant feedback
• An education and sport focused policy paper/publication drawing out the key principles and strategies for co-operation in teaching/learning about controversial issues
• A project report synthesising key conclusions and learning from the two delivery programmes (course and schools programme)
• An Equality in Education conference based on the project findings, with participants from both programmes actively involved in the design and delivery of the conference
• A conference report
• An educational DVD production highlighting the awareness program. English, but also sub-titled versions in Spanish Danish and Norwegian
• A website for: dissemination of project related information and resources, promotion of project events and activities, channelling partner/team communications, open discussion forum for professionals
• A final report that brings together all project reports, publications and project conclusions
• An evaluation report based on participant feedback, quality assurance assessment and internal peer evaluation by all stakeholders in the project
