The STORM project - A Comenius Regio project

STORM identifies strategies and methodologies to integrate a diversity of educational and cultural initiatives between the different partners in two regions
Each region has a rich and individualized cultural heritage.

Each has a specific school curriculum that seeks to promote worthy aims and objectives associated with the integration and transfer of its cultural and artistic heritage to a current generation of teachers and pupils.

Each region as partner a literature and arts festival, enabling education and culture to collaborate in using and developing the arts to strengthen the learning of each child.

STORM seeks to build on this Arts and Cultural Heritage to identify and develop modern initiatives in this field.

The STORM-project will develop:

  • Curriculum content
  • Teaching methodologies
  • Evaluation procedures
  • Teaching aids
  • Website
  • Web 2.0 based communication
  • Media coverage

STORM objectives are to:

* Enable children in primary and secondary school to enjoy artistic and cultural productions provided by professionals, but also collaborating with them

 

* Assist schools in integrating different forms of cultural expression with their own efforts to attain learning goals

 

* Facilitate the pupils' access to a wide range of cultural expressions, so that they can become acquainted with and develop an understanding of cultural in all its forms
